My Grandparents

As hard as it may be, this weekend, we are moving both of my grandparents into the nursing home. My grandma, Marjory has been there for awhile, and we are moving Jack there in a few days.

It's one of those things that are tough. Cleaning out their house will be a milestone that we are not necessarily looking forward to. Matt and I will be there (with my sisters and their families) in support of my mom. It's tough, but necessary.

I will CHERISH these photos that were taken at Matt and I's wedding. So incredibly precious to have! Photos by Heather Lilly Photography.

I am looking forward to spending time with both of them! We love them so much!

  1. Living in a nursing home can be a bit boring sometimes, especially if your husband is not with you. I’m glad your grandmother is finally home. I’m pretty sure she’s excited too! Both of them can now have a happy and fulfilling retirement because they know they are with the people who love them no matter what. I hope they both stay strong and healthy!

  2. I know how hard it is to move your grandparents in a nursing home. This kind of moment really comes in our life, and we can’t do anything about it because this is the only thing we know that could help them. It’s good that, as early as possible, or before any bad health condition takes its toll on them, you take them to a nursing home. This way, their condition will be observed early and they will be given proper medication. But, don’t forget to visit them always, because it’ll help them a lot to stay healthy. ->Taneka Carl
